The return on the investment in education

Abstract:

Předmětem této práce je na základě dotazníkového šetření predikovat dobu návratnosti investice vložené do vzdělání na vysoké škole ekonomického či manažerského směru a zhodnotit efektivnost této investice pomocí vybraných metod. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na vysokoškolské vzdělávání, hodnotí situaci na trhu práce z pohledu dosaženého vzdělání, poukazuje na proměnu společnosti a s tím související pokles hodnoty vysokoškolského diplomu. Teoretická část dále popisuje investice do vysokoškolského vzdělání a zdroje financování těchto investic. Hodnotí výhody statusu student a definuje metody hodnocení investic. Tyto metody jsou pak podrobně popsány v metodice práce. Aplikační část je založena na dotazníkovém šetření, jehož výsledky jsou podkladem pro analýzu hodnocení investic. V analýze jsou použity metody hodnocení efektivnosti investic založené na peněžním toku z investice.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is on the basis of the survey predict the payback period of the investment put into education at the college of economy or management direction and evaluate the effectiveness of this investment using selected methods. The theoretical part focuses on higher education, the situation on the labour market in terms of educational attainment, points to the transformation of society and the associated decline in the value of a diploma. The theoretical part describes the investment in higher education and the sources of funding for these investments. Evaluates the benefits of student status and defines investment evaluation methods. These methods are described in detail in methodology work. The application is based on a survey, the results of which form the basis for the analysis of investment evaluation. The analysis uses methods of assessing the effectiveness of investments based on the cash flow from investments.
