Abstract:

Anotace Diplomová práce „Alzheimerova choroba – nemoc celé rodiny“ pojednává o případové studii rodiny, která se rozhodla vzít si k sobě blízkého příbuzného trpící Alzheimerovým syndromem. Teoretická část obsahuje kapitoly o stáří – definici, periodizaci, dále psychické, fyzické a sociální změny ve stáří. Kapitolu o osobnosti starého člověka, rodině a mezigeneračním soužití. V části o demenci se zabývám zejména příznaky nemoci, diagnostikou, léčbou a hlavními problémovými situacemi, které pacienta a jeho nemoc provází. Samostatnou kapitolu věnuji i jedné z nejčastějších forem demence – Alzheimerově chorobě. Mimo kritéria diagnózy a objevujícími se příznaky se zaměřuji i na neurobiologické změny a neuropsychologické testování nemocného. V rámci svého studijního oboru se věnuji i dalším tématům souvisejících s předmětem mé diplomové práce. Mezi tato témata patří syndrom vyhoření v pomáhajících profesích a systém sociální péče, který rozděluji na institucionální péči a péči v rodině. Ve výzkumné části se zabývám případovou studií jedné rodiny, kterou zpracovávám pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu metodou Zakotvené teorie. Podkladem k výzkumu mi byly rozhovory s respondenty zachycené na diktafon, pozorování a osobní zápisky. Pomocí tří stupňů kódování jsem se od vytvoření kategorií dostala k hlavnímu jevu výzkumu a k centrální kategorii, která je pro tento výzkum klíčová. V přílohách uvádím rozhovory s respondenty, fotografie základních pomůcek nemocného, jeho poslední lékařskou zprávu, základní neuropsychologický test, obrázky zachycující změny na mozku u Alzheimerovy choroby a jednotlivé zákony o sociálních službách.

Abstract:

Annotation This thesis "Alzheimer's disease - illness of the whole family" deals with a case study of a family which has decided to take care of a close relative suffering from the Alzheimer's syndrome. The theoretical part includes chapters on aging - definition, periodization, as well as mental, physical and social changes in old age, and a chapter on the personality of old people, family and cohabitation of generations. The chapter "Dementia" deals primarily with dementia symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and the main problematic situations that occur for the patient in connection with their disease. A separate chapter is devoted to one of the most common forms of dementia - the Alzheimer's disease. In addition to the criteria of diagnosis and symptoms, in this thesis I focus on neurobiological changes and neuropsychological testing of the patient. As part of my field of study I also deal with other topics related to the subject of my thesis. These topics include burnout in the helping professions and the analysis of the social care system, dividing it into the institutional care and care in the family. The research part of this thesis deals with a case study of one family, as a research method the qualitative research method of the Grounding theory has been used. The basis for my research have been recorded interviews with respondents, as well as personal observations and notes. With three levels of coding, I created categories which have lead to discovery of the main research phenomenon and the central category, which has proven to be crucial for this research. The Annexes include interviews with respondents, pictures of basic patient aids, the patient`s last medical report, basic neuropsychological test and pictures in which the changes in the brain of an Alzheimer's disease patient are captured, as well as the individual Decrees on social services.
