Elbow and wrist joint load during forward handspring

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda existují rozdíly v rizikových faktorech zranění loketního kloubu a zápěstí u přemetu vpřed. Výzkumný soubor tvořily čtyři mladé sportovní gymnastky, které provedly 10 pokusů přemetu vpřed v paralelním a 10 pokusů přemetu vpřed v reversním postavení rukou na podložce. Data byla získávána systémem Qualisys a silovými plošinami Kistler. Rozdíly mezi proměnnými byly vyjádřeny pomocí effect size. Výsledky práce ukazují, že v paralelním postavení rukou na podložce dochází ke snížení maxima vertikální reakční síly podložky a interního addukčního momentu síly v loketním kloubu. Technika v paralelním postavení může být považována jako šetrnější z pohledu prevence zranění horních končetin.

Abstract:

The aim of the study was to find out if there are differences in risk factors of injury of the elbow joint and wrist in the forward hanspring. The research consisted of four young gymnasts who performed 10 attempts of forward hanspring in parallel hand position and 10 attempts of forward handspring in reversed hand position on the pad. Data was acquired through the Qualisys system and the Kistler power platforms. Differences between variables were expressed using effect size. The results of the study show that in the parallel position of the hands on the pad there is a decrease in the maximum of the vertical reaction force of the pad and the internal adduction moment of force in the elbow joint. Technique in parallel position can be considered as more gentle in terms of preventing upper limb injuries.
