Validation of Agility Test for floorball players

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo ověřit validitu modifikované verze Illinoi agility testu pro hráče florbalu a připravit tak validní test, jenž bude použitelný do praxe. Testování probíhalo na střední odborné škole v Třinci a ve florbalovém klubu Horní Suchá a Torpedo Havířov. Výzkum probíhal měřením výkonů v klasické verzi Illinoi agility testu a následně v modifikované verzi, kterou museli testovaní absolvovat s florbalovou holí a míčkem. Získaná data byla statisticky porovnána a ověřil jsem mezi nimi korelaci. Výsledkem byl statisticky významný rozdíl p = 0,001 a poměrně vysoký korelační koeficient (r) u jednotlivých subjektů. U studentů střední odborné školy se r = 0,618 a u hráčů florbalu r = 0,921. Z těchto výsledků můžeme tvrdit, že naše modifikovaná verze Illinoi agility testu je velmi validní pro testování ve florbalovém i školním prostředí.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis was to verify the validity of the modified version of the Illinois Agility Test for floorball players and thus prepare a valid test that will be applicable in practice. The testing took place at the secondary vocational school in Třinec and at the floorball club Horní Suchá and Torpedo Havířov. The research was conducted by measuring performance in the classic version of the Illinois agility test and then in the modified version, which the test subjects had to complete with a floorball stick and ball. The obtained data were statistically compared, including verification of mutual correlation. The result was a statistically significant difference of p = 0.001 and a relatively high correlation coefficient (r) for individual subjects. For secondary vocational school students r = 0.618 and for floorball players r = 0.921. From these results, we can claim that our modified version of the Illinois agility test is valid for testing in floorball and school settings.
