Bakalářská práce se primárně zabývá použitelností tří katalogů nové generace. Jedná se o katalogy Carmen, Portaro a VuFind. První část se zabývá vymezením teoretického rámce pro testování použitelnosti on-line katalogů knihoven a mapuje vnímání pojmu katalog nové generace.
