World Literature for Children and Youth in the Structure of Reading Books for 5th and 6th Class Primary School

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou zastoupení světové literatury pro děti a mládež v čítankách pro 5. a 6. ročník ZŠ. V teoretické části jsou popsány a vysvětleny základní pojmy, které s čítankami souvisí. Na začátku je vysvětlen pojem literatura pro děti a mládež, pojem učebnice a čítanka. Práce se zabývá souvislostí mezi preferovaným literárním žánrem a genderem. Práce se také zaměřuje na vztah školy a školní četby na budování vztahu ke čtenářství u čtenářů-pubescentů a práce se zabývá čtenářskou gramotností a jejím budováním ve školním prostředí, dále je determinováno dětské čtenářství. Teoretická část práce také seznamuje čtenáře s různými způsoby vnitřní stratifikace čítanek a s kritérii pro posuzování kvality čítanek. Praktická část práce se věnuje analýze vybraných čítanek od nakladatelství Alter, SPN a Fraus. Jednotlivé čítanky jsou pak shrnuty v návaznosti na teoretickou část práce.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis analyses proportion of world literature excerpts in book readers used for teaching children's literature at the fifth and sixth grade of elementary school. Basic concepts and terms connected to children's literature are discussed in the first part of the thesis with special regard on book readers and textbooks. The thesis studies relation between preffered literary genre and gender. Special focus is put on relations between school environment and development of a juvenile reader as well as acquiring complete literacy. Structure of children's readings is further analysed as well. There are two main parts in the thesis. The theoretical part deals with internal stratification of book readers and criteria for measuring their qualities. The practical part analyses selected book readers from renowned publishing houses Alter, SPN and Fraus. All the selected readers are further classified in connection with the theoretical part of the thesis.
