Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se orientuje na vývoj a stav občanské společnosti ve městě Nový Jičín, které se nachází v Moravskoslezském kraji ČR. Práce se zabývá analýzou občanské aktivity a jejího vlivu na život ve městě, výsledky voleb a účast v komunálních volbách. Teoretická část práce zahrnuje kapitoly, které se zabývají pojmy občan, občanství a občanská společnost. V těchto kapitolách se práce soustřeďuje i na vývoj a formování občanství, jak v obecném měřítku, tak vzhledem k jeho vývoji českých zemích. Další úsek teoretické části se věnuje městu Nový Jičín, především jeho historii a současné podobě. V praktické části zkoumá práce aktivitu samotného města, organizací, spolků a církve na veřejný život ve městě. Jako metoda výzkumu je použita analýza dat, které jsou získány z webových stránek spolků a organizací, oficiálního webu města Nový Jičín, informací veřejnoprávních i soukromých medií a městských zpravodajů, které samotné město vydává. Dále se praktická část práce zaměřuje na analýzu volebních výsledků komunálních voleb a voleb do Poslanecké sněmovny PČR ve vztahu k jejich závislosti na občanské participaci ve městě.

Abstract:

The master thesis is focusing on the development and current state of the civic society in the city of Nový Jičín which is situated in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The thesis is analyzing the activities of the civic society and its influence on the city life, the election results and the participation in the municipal elections. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical one is deals with the terms such as a citizen, citizenship and the civic society. These chapters are focused on the development of the citizenship in general terms and more specific in the Czech Republic. The next part of the theory is dedicated to the city of Nový Jičín, especially its history and current state. The practical part is focused on the activities of the municipality, organizations, groups and religious movements and their influence on the public life in the city. As a method of research, the data analysis has been chosen. The primary source of the data are the web pages of the groups and organizations, official web of the city and the private and public media, inclusive the media supported by the city itself. The practical part also focuses on the analysis of the election results on the municipality level as well as the parliamentary level. The results will be analyzed with the connection to the civic society. The text of the abstract.
