An analysis of doping, doping products and the fight against its misuse

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl předložit ucelený pohled na problematiku dopingu ve sportovním světě. Obsah se především zaměřuje na tenis, zároveň bude popsán vývoj dopingových prostředků, předkládá přehled zakázaných látek a metod, a v závěru teoretické části práce se věnuje jednotlivým organizacím a dokumentům, jejich úkolům a cílům. Pro doplnění budou uvedeny vybrané dopingové kauzy. Součástí obsahu práce je praktická část, v podobě výzkumného šetření. Cílem je zjistit a prezentovat údaje týkající se informovanosti a orientace v dopingové problematice výkonnostních tenisových hráčů dvou věkových kategorií. Pro sběr dat bylo realizováno dotazníkového šetření. Shromážděná data jsou vyhodnocena a využita k zodpovězení předem stanovených výzkumných otázek. Na základě výsledků z výzkumného šetření jsou nastíněna opatření k eliminaci problémů spojených s užíváním dopingových látek a prostředků. Pro názornost je výzkum doplněn o grafy. Závěr obsahuje komplexní zhodnocení teoretické a praktické části práce a zhodnocení výsledků z výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to present a complex view on the issue of doping in the world of sport. The content mainly focuses on tennis, it will also describe the development of doping products, it presents an overview of banned substances and methods, and at the end of the theoretical part of the thesis it discusses individual organizations and documents, their tasks and aims. Selected doping cases will be presented for completeness. Part of the content of the thesis is the practical part, in the form of a research investigation. The aim is to find out and present data about the information and orientation in doping issues of performance tennis players in two age categories. For data collection, a questionnaire survey was realised. The collected data are evaluated and used to answer the pre-defined research questions. Based on the results from the research investigation, measures are presented to eliminate the problems associated with the use of doping substances and agents. For illustration, the research is completed by graphs. The conclusion contains a comprehensive evaluation of the theoretical and practical parts of the thesis and there is an assessment of the results from the research investigation.
