Abstract:

The thesis deals with the descriptive analysis of the impact of foreign investments inregions of Slovakia in the years 2003-2009. The first part is descriptive characteristicsof regional policy, its formation and the reasons why it is necessary to implementregional policy. It is characterized by the formation of RP and its objectives. This section is devoted to the characterization of regional development and regional policy of the European Union. The theoretical part of this thesis includes the characteristics of foreign investments and their distribution. It focuses mainly on foreign direct investment, the determinants and effects of foreign direct investment. The second part is an analysis of the status of foreign investments and their impact ondifferent regions in the period 2003 -2009. This section is analyzed each regionseparately and finally we analyze the Slovak Republic as a whole. Based on the trendfunction is calculated likely future state of FDI in the coming year. The impact of foreign investments is paid into the development of economic indicators - gross domestic product. The conclusion is made SWOT analysis of the FDI of the Slovak Republic.

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá popisnou analýzou vplyvu zahraničných investícií na jednotlivé regióny Slovenska v rokoch 2003-2009. V prvej časti je popisná charakteristika regionálnej politiky, jej formovanie a dôvody prečo je potrebné regionálnu politiku vykonávať. Taktiež je charakterizovaná tvorba RP a jej ciele. Táto časť je venovaná aj charakteristike regionálneho rozvoja a regionálnej politike Európskej únie. Teoretická časť diplomovej práce zahŕňa aj charakteristiku zahraničných investícií a ich rozdeleniu. Zameriava sa najmä na priame zahraničné investície, determinanty a efekty priamych zahraničných investícií. V druhej časti je analýza stavu zahraničných investícií a ich vplyv na jednotlivé regióny v období 2003-2009. V tejto časti je analyzovaný každý región samostatne a v závere je rozpracovaná analýza Slovenskej republiky ako celku. Na základe trendovej funkcie je vypočítaný pravdepodobný budúci stav priamych zahraničných investícií na nasledujúci rok. Vplyv zahraničných investícií je poukázaný na ekonomickom ukazovateli vývoja HDP. V závere je vytvorená swot analýza stavu priamych zahraničných investícií SR.
