S rozvojem molekulárně fylogenetických metod vzrostl počet nově popsaných černých meristematických hub třídy Dothideomycetes a současně se tak rozšířily poznatky o jejich fylogenetické příslušnosti a taxonomii. With the development of molecular phylogenetic methods, the number of newly described black meristematic fungi of the Dothideomycetes class increased, while at the same time expanded knowledge about their phylogenetic affiliation and taxonomy.
