Diversity, ecology and phylogeny of rock-inhabiting black fungi belonging to the class Dothideomycetes

Abstract:

S rozvojem molekulárně fylogenetických metod vzrostl počet nově popsaných černých meristematických hub třídy Dothideomycetes a současně se tak rozšířily poznatky o jejich fylogenetické příslušnosti a taxonomii. V této bakalářské práci jsou shrnuty morfologické a fyziologické charakteristiky těchto mikromycet, ve smyslu společných znaků i rozdílů, oblasti jejich výskytu se zvláštním přihlédnutím k Antarktickému kontinentu a světovým vysokohorským masívům, způsoby kolonizace těchto oblastí a v neposlední řadě také jejich aktuální fylogenetické postavení v rámci třídy Dothideomycetes.

Abstract:

With the development of molecular phylogenetic methods, the number of newly described black meristematic fungi of the Dothideomycetes class increased, while at the same time expanded knowledge about their phylogenetic affiliation and taxonomy. This bachelor’s thesis summarises the morphological and physiological characteristics of these micromycetes, in terms of common characteristics and differences, their area of occurrence, taking particular account of the Antarctic continent and the world's alpine massifs, the methods of colonisation of these areas and, last but not least, their current phylogenetic status within the Dothideomycetes class.
