Terapie zlomenin v oblasti proximální metafýzy pátého metatarzu zůstává kontro-verzním tématem jak v názvosloví, tak v samotném rozhodování o terapeutickém postupu. Konzervativní i chirurgické řešení mají v literatuře oporu. V této dizertační práci se zabývám poměrně inovativní metodou terapie těchto zlomenin pomocí dvouzávitového bezhlavičkového šroubu (tzv. Abstract:
Treatment of fractures in the region of the proximal metaphysis of the fifth metatarsal remains controversial in terminology as well as in therapeutic decision-making. Both conservative and surgical treatments are supported in the literature.
