Left-handedness in contemporary Czech society; changes in attitudes toward left-handedness in the last forty years
Abstract:
Diplomová práce ze zabývá fenoménem levorukosti v současné české společnosti a změnami, které společnost doznala od roku 1967, kdy bylo oficiálně zrušeno přeučování levorukosti na pravorukost. Práce se zaměřuje na způsob, jakým je v současnosti vnímána a hodnocena levorukost, potažmo na význam přikládaný laterální symbolice.Abstract:
The thesis deals with the phenomenon of left-handedness in contemporary Czech society and the changes society has undergone since 1967, when it was officially abolished the reformative-training of left-handed children.The work focuses on the way of perceiving and evaluating left-handedness, hence the importance attached to the lateral symbolism.
