The frequency and function of each type adverbials in current analytical journalistic genres

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je charakterizovat frekvenci a funkce jednotlivých typů adverbiale v současných analytických publicistických žánrech. Na základě studia odborné literatury vztahující se k dané problematice a na základě jednotlivých kritérií zkoumání byl excerpován dokladový materiál. V práci sledujeme publicistický funkční styl. Materiálovým východiskem jsou texty komentářů deníku Mladá fronta DNES. V uvedených útvarech se zaměřujeme zejména na problematiku adverbiale (jejich funkce, frekvence atd.). Sebraný jazykový materiál byl analyzován, kvantifikován, tříděn, popsán a znázorněn v grafu. Zaměřujeme se na texty publicistické, věnujeme pozornost zejména publicistickým žánrům analytickým, které patří v současné době k velmi rozšířeným. Publicistické texty současně výrazně ovlivňují pohled čtenáře na danou věc/jev a vnímání dané problematiky, ale i kulturu jazykového projevu. Domníváme se, že i v oblasti vyjadřování adverbiale je možno zachytit jisté vývojové tendence a popsat charakteristickou situaci pro daný jev. Těžištěm práce je praktická část věnující se analýze jazykového materiálu na základě daných kritérií. Sledujeme principy vyjadřování různých typů příslovečných určení v analytickém publicistickém žánru, a to konkrétně v útvaru komentáře. Předmětem zkoumání jsou texty deníku Mladá fronta DNES. Analýze výskytu sledovaného jevu podrobujeme komentáře čtyř známých autorů: Jany Bendové, Aleny Slezákové, Karla Steigerwalda a Martina Komárka, kteří jsou stálými komentátory a jejichž články se zjevují v deníku Mladá fronta DNES pravidelně. V závěrečné části diplomové práce vyhodnocujeme excerpovaný materiál a komparujeme výsledky zkoumání.

Abstract:

The purpose of this degree thesis was to characterize the frequency and function of different types of adverbials in current analytical journalistic genres. Based on knowledge obtained by studying specialized literature related to the topic, and based on various criteria investigation were obtained the supporting evidence. In this thesis we followed journalistic functional style. The main material was articles of comments in daily MF DNES. In these articles we focused primarily on issues adverbials (their function, frequency etc.). Collected language material was analyzed, quantified, sorted, described and illustrated in the graph. We described methods of work procedures that are applied in collecting language material. We mentioned sources which the material was taken from. We focused on journalistic texts. We paid particular attention to analytical journalistic genres, which are currently very widespread. Journalistic texts significantly affect the reader's view on the matter and the perception of the issue, but also a culture of verbal communication. We believed that in the expressing of adverbials is possible to capture some trends and describe the typical situation for a given phenomenon. The main part of the thesis was devoted to the practical analysis of linguistic material based on given criteria. We followed the principles of expressing different types of adverbials in the analytical journalistic genre, specifically in the comments. The research was concentrated on texts of daily MF DNES. We focused on the comments of four well-known authors: Jana Bendová, Alena Slezáková, Karel Steigerwald and Martin Komárek, who are permanent commentators and whose articles appear at the daily MF DNES regularly. In the final part of the thesis we evaluated excerpted material and compared the results of the research.
