A Weather Station Model with Data Archiving Based on the Arduino Platform

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá návrhem a realizací modelu meteostanice, jež je programově řízena mikropočítačem umístěným na vývojové desce Arduino. Meteostanice snímá okolní teplotu, vlhkost vzduchu a atmosférický tlak pomocí digitálních senzorů. Informace o aktuálních hodnotách se následně zobrazují na LCD displeji v přehledném menu a ty jsou odesílány na cloudové úložiště ThingSpeak, odkud mohou být data exporto-vána do CSV souboru. Naleznete zde odpovědi na otázky ohledně obecných defi-nicí snímaných veličin a způsobu jejich měření. Dále o základním dělení meteostanic a jejich využití. Samozřejmostí je podrobný popis jednotlivých komponentů a sou-hrnné informace o sestavení a zapojení samotné meteostanice s ukázkou výsledků.

Abstract:

The work deals with the design and implementation of a weather station model, which is program controlled by a microcontroller located on an Arduino develop-ment board. The weather station measures the ambient temperature, relative humidi-ty, and atmospheric pressure using digital sensors. Information about the current values is then displayed on an LCD display in an organized menu and sent to the ThingSpeak cloud storage, from where the data can be exported to a CSV file. You can find answers to questions regarding general definitions of measured variables and methods of their measurement. Furthermore, it covers the primary division of weather stations and their applications. Detailed descriptions of individual compo-nents and summary information on the assembly and connection of the weather sta-tion with a demonstration of the results are also included.
