Abstract:

Tato práce je věnována historicko-politologické analýze fenoménu gulagu, na pozadí vznikajícího totalitního státu v Sovětském svazu. GULAG (Glavnoje upravlenije ispravitělno trudovych lagerej, česky Hlavní správa nápravněpracovních táborů) bylo jedno z oddělení tajné policie SSSR, jež řídilo a spravovalo systém koncentračních pracovních táborů v období totalitního režimu J. V. Stalina. Původní zkratka GULAG se později v ruštině i v ostatních jazycích stala nejenom běžným označením celého systému sovětských koncentračních táborů, ale také politickým, mravním i vědeckým pojmem, obsahujícím v sobě obrovskou vrstvu sovětské totalitní společnosti. Cílem této práce je objasnit příčiny vzniku koncentračních táborů v Sovětském svazu a jejich proměnu v závislosti na upevňování stalinistického totalitního režimu, tj. v letech 1929 až 1953. Práce je vystavěna chronologicky s cílem odhalení vzniku a myšlenkového původu sovětského represivního systému, na jehož základech byl stalinský gulag budován.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the historical and politological analysis of the phenomenon ?gulag? at the background of a newly developing totalitarian country in USSR.GULAG (Glavnoje upravlenije ispravitěl´no trudovych lagerej, The Chief Administration of Corrective Labor Camps) worked as a special department of Soviet secret police system which lead and controled the network of work concentration camps within the period of J. V. Stalin´s regime. The original abbreviation GULAG has become a common label for the whole network of camps of this type in Russian and other languages. It also became a political, moral and scientific expression of a significant feature of Soviet totalitarian society. The aim of this thesis is to explain the reasons for establishing these camps in the USSR and their change corresponding with the development of stalinistic totalitarian regime within the years 1929 and 1953. The thesis is built in the chronological order to reveal the original idea of setting up the soviet repressive system, the obvious base which the camps network was built on.
