Abstract:

raktická a plnohodnotná budova se používá od roku 1925. Maestrium ještě zesiluje svůj hlas a dodá nejasnou historii své plné funkce dodnes. Zde se konalo promítání Gliwice. Jednalo se o akci dynastie Třetí říšské rady, která byla zcela varováním před příchodem velmi německé rozhlasové stanice polskými vojáky v předvečer vypuknutí druhé světové války. Měla to být „polská provokace“. Jako moderní strategické zařízení sloužila mimo jiné pro poslech Rádia Svobodná Evropa a pro místní vysílání. Dřevěné konstrukce - jediné, které posiluje trvalé panorama města a poskytuje mnoho bodů v oblasti. Mluví o „Eiffelově věži v Gliwicích“. Tato dřevěná stavba o výšce 111 metrů je již ikonickým místem na mapě města a slavným turistickým místem. Místní název byl ve skutečnosti cílem až do cyklu, ve kterém fotografuji různé rozhlasové stanice.

Abstract:

A practical object full of applications, has been in use since 1925. A mast that gives sound to many voices and makes countless stories heard has been fulfilling its original function to this day. It was here that the Glewitiz incident took place. It was a diversionary operation of the Third Reich’s government which purpose was to make it look as if the Polish soldiers had taken over the Radio Station, which was German at the time, just a day before the World War II broke out. It was supposed to be a proof of a Polish provocation. As a national strategic object, it was also used for jamming Radio Free Europe and for broadcasting local transmitions. A wooden construct of the past – a one of a kind object permanently enriching the city panorama, visible from many places in the area. Some call it “Gliwice’s Eiffel Tower”. This 111 meter wooden concstruction has already become an iconic location on the city map and a well known tourist point. It was this very name that served as point of referrence for creating the cycle, where I make photographs of the radio tower mast from difference locations of the city.
