Fake news and its influence on public choice

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce zkoumá vliv dezinformací na proces a výsledky veřejné volby. Za pomocí regresní analýzy s využitím metody nejmenších čtverců jsou analyzovány faktory, jež mohou přispět k většímu či menšímu vlivu dezinformací. Na vzorku respondentů obsahující pouze české občany starší 18 let jsou tak analyzovány skupiny, jež by mohly být náchylnější k ovlivnění dezinformacemi. Za pomocí výsledků zahraničních výzkumů, literatury i vlastního experimentálního řešení jsou zjišťovány vlivy dalších, zejména technických a obsahových faktorů dezinformačních zpráv.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis examines the influence of fake news on the process and results of public choice. Using regression analysis and ordinary least squares method, the factors that may contribute to a greater or lesser effect of fake news on society are analyzed. This research analyzes data from the population of the Czech Republic at least 18 years old and tries to find groups of participants who might be more willing to believe and trust fake news. With the help of the results of foreign research, literature and own experimental solutions, the influences of other, especially content factors of fake news are determined.
