Inventory survey of the nature reserve Lopata

Abstract:

Zaměřením této bakalářské práce byl botanický inventarizační průzkum přírodní rezervace Lopata. Ta se nachází v okrese Plzeň-jih, blízko obcí Šťáhlavice a Milínov. Rozloha rezervace činí 66 636 m2 a nadmořská výška oblasti se pohybuje v rozmezí 390 m n. m. až 433 m n. m. Hlavní ochranná činnost v této lokalitě se týká rozmanitého biotopového složení. Mezi takové biotopy patří zejména suťové lesy a také hercynské dubohabřiny, květnaté bučiny a suché acidofilní doubravy. Na území byly v minulosti nalezeny chráněné druhy rostlin - lilie zlatohlavá (Lilium martagon) či lýkovec jedovatý (Daphne mezereum). Tento botanický průzkum byl proveden v sezóně roku 2021, kdy bylo nalezeno 147 rostlinných druhů v rámci 48 čeledí. Množství jedinců lilie zlatohlavé je aktuálně konstantní s ohledem na minulé nálezy, bohužel ostatní chráněné druhy v minulosti zaznamenané nebyly nalezeny. PR Lopata je místo se značnými počty biotopů a dalšími biologickými úkazy na poměrně kompaktní ploše. Budoucí ochranné snahy této rezervace jsou příhodné.

Abstract:

This bachelors's thesis is focused on bringing the latest insight into the inventorization of botanical species variety of nature reserve Lopata. It is located near Štáhlavice and Milínov within the southern Plzeň region. The area of the nature reserve is 66 636 m2 and the range of its height above sea level fluctuates between 390 m.a.s.l. and 433 m.a.s.l. The main goal of the protection efforts, this location was given in the past, are the varied habitats located here - they are ravine forests, hercynian oak-hornbeam forests, partially herb-rich beech forests and dry acidophilous oak forests. Biotopes aside, there were some interesting protected plant species found within this location in the past. Notably Turk's cap lilly (Lilium martagon) and for example February daphne (Daphne mezereum). This botanical exploration was carried out mostly in 2021 season. The inventorization efforts revealed 147 floral species in the area, which can be categorized into 48 plant families. The levels of Lilium martagon individuals seems to be stable for the most part, but unfortunately other protected species mentioned were not found. The nature preserve Lopata is suprisingly botanically varied location with many interesting biotopical occurences which happen to be quite densely packed into such compact area. This nature reserve is definitely worth protecting in the future at least as much, as it was the case in the past.
