Assessment of landscape changes in the Jeseníky area based on historical and contemporary aerial photographs

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na vývoj podhorské krajiny Hrubého Jeseníku na území obce Bělá pod Pradědem. Porovnává stav v roce 1953 (1955) se stavem v roce 2018, a to na základě leteckých snímků. Ruční vektorizací byly vytvořeny mapy využití půdy, doplněné o výskyt liniových společenstev a solitérní vegetace. Následným porovnáním bylo vyhodnoceno, že došlo k rozšíření lesa i zástavby a k přeměně orné půdy na travní porosty, což bylo dáno do souvislosti se snížením intenzity hospodaření. Krajina si zachovala svůj podhorský ráz s typickými liniovými společenstvi a solitérní vegetací. Následně byla využita automatická klasifikace obrazu (řízená i neřízená) pro tvorbu mapy využití půdy, vyhodnocena její přesnost a obě metody porovnány.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the development of the foothills of the Hrubý Jeseník Mountains in the Bělá pod Pradědem municipality. It compares the situation in 1953 (1955) with that of 2018, based on aerial photographs. Manual vectorization created maps of land use, supplemented by the occurrence of line and solitary vegetation. Subsequent comparison evaluated that the forest and the built up area were expanded and the arable land was converted into grassland, which was connected with the reduction in the intensity of farming. The landscape has retained its foothill character with typical line and solitary vegetation. Subsequently, the automatic image classification (unsupervised and supervised) was used to create a land use map, its accuracy was evaluated and both methods were compared.
