The Role of a CPO in Fostering Added Value and Satisfying Stakeholders

Abstract:

In the current VUCA world, stakeholders in the companies are highly demanding and are expecting from procurement function sustainable improvement with additional added value delivery. This thesis addresses particular methods how Chief Procurement Officer can drive creation of added value through introduction of Wholeness System Thinking. Through the understanding of the purpose of the organization and efficient alignment with various stakeholders within the company, further added value can be generated and buy in of stakeholders secured. Based on the semi-structured interviews with internal stakeholders, multiple recommendations have been proposed. Application of wholeness system thinking in procurement, and in the company as a whole, would propose variety of specific improvement steps that are to be realized.
