The motivation of the nursing career in the palliative care

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na zjištění motivace sester k práci v paliativní péči. Teoretická část se zabývá osobností sestry v paliativní péči, paliativní péčí obecně, komunikací, etickými otázkami, psychologickým přístupem v paliativní péči. V praktické části jsou předloženy výsledky dotazníkového šetření, které proběhlo v období ledna až srpna 2007 ve FN Ostrava a v hospicích: Na Svatém Kopečku (Olomouc), Citadela (Valašské Meziříčí), Dům léčby bolesti s hospicem sv. Josefa (Rajhrad u Brna). Cíl výzkumu spočíval ve zjištění motivace sester na onkologii a v hospici, dále ve věkové kategorii do 40. ti let a nad 41 let, spokojenost na pracovišti, vnitřní uspokojení a naplnění z práce a hodnocení kontaktu s klientem v terminálním stádiu. Výsledky jsou shrnuty v diskuzi a závěru.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the founding out the nurses´ motivation to the palliative care-work. The theoretical part deals with the personality of the nurse in the palliative care-work, the palliative care-work itself, communication, ethical questions and psychological approach in the palliative care-work. In the practical part the outcomes of the questionnaire investigation are shown. The investigation was realized in 2007 (from January to August) in The Teaching Hospital in Ostrava-Poruba and in the hospices Svatý Kopeček Olomouc), Citadela (Valašské Meziříčí), Dům léčby bolesti s hospicem sv. Josefa (Rajhrad u Brna). The goal of the investigation focussed on the founding out the nurses´ motivation in oncology and in the hospic, in the nurses up to the age of 40 and more than 41, the satisfaction in the workplace, the inner satisfaction from the care and the evaluation of the contact with the client. The outcomes are summarized in the discussion and the final part of the thesis.
