FUNDRAISING IN CULTURE WITH THE EMPHASES ON CLASSICAL MUSIC

Abstract:

Disertační práce Fundraising v oblasti kultury se zaměřením na klasickou hudbu se zabývá fundraisingem jako samostatným oborem kulturního a uměleckého managementu. Práce vysvětluje základní terminologii, zasazuje fundraising do kulturně-historického kontextu, definuje jednotlivé typy fundraisingu a popisuje metody a principy jeho využití v praxi. Dále se věnuje tématu strategického plánování, práci s dárci, zkoumání motivací a etických aspektů fundraisingu. Součástí práce je rovněž reflexe výuky základů fundraisingu a výzkumná srovnávací studie zaměřená na fundraising festivalů klasické hudby v ČR a v zahraničí.

Abstract:

The doctoral thesis Fundraising in Culture with Emphasis on Classical Music deals with fundraising as a unique and individual field of Performing Arts Management. The thesis explains fundamental terminology, situates fundraising into a cultural--historical context, and defines various types, methods, and principles of its practical use. Further, the thesis is devoted to the topic of strategic planning, working with donors, and examines the motivations and ethical aspects of fundraising. It also includes a reflection on teaching the Fundraising Basics and a research comparative study focused on fundraising of classical music festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad.
