Anotace:

ZAGRETDINOVA, Alina. Analysis of wine and spirit educational systems in Central Europe. (Bachelor dissertation) Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague. Prague: 2017. 64 pages. The wine industry has been developing rapidly and many of people nowadays are in favor of idea to obtain wine education. The aim of this thesis is to provide information about special courses, seminars, and classes at colleges and universities in Central Europe, which are held for the students and attendants to improve their knowledge in wine and spirits. Also, to analyze and compare these educational systems. The theoretical framework provides information about different kinds of wine education, detailed description of each of them. The method of the research is mainly qualitative. Author have used structured questionnaire with multiple-choice and open questions and also deep analysis of different systems of wine education. The data collected from two research methods was analyzed to draw a conclusion for current status of wine education in Central European countries from the market point of view. To sum up, wine education in Central Europe is very understudied subject yet and the level of wine education in Central European countries is still not so high but here is a big potential. The research of wine education institutions in Central Europe showed that most of them offer viticulture, winemaking or sommelier education.
