Education of patients with lactose intolerance

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá edukací pacienta s laktózovou intolerancí. Cílem práce bylo zjištění míry informovanosti pacientů s laktózovou intolerancí o jejich onemocnění. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část je zaměřena na anatomii a fyziologii gastrointestinálního traktu, patofyziologii onemocnění, klinické příznaky, diagnostiku a terapii laktózové intolerance. Důležitá je především část zaměřená na nutriční podporu z ošetřovatelského hlediska, zejména na výživová doporučení pro pacienty. Poslední část obsahuje terminologii edukace v ošetřovatelství. Ve výzkumné části, která je zaměřena na edukaci pacientů, byly stanoveny tři cíle s výzkumnými předpoklady. Byl vytvořen edukační standard pro všeobecné sestry na základě výzkumného šetření, které prokázalo nedostatečnou informovanost pacientů o laktózové intoleranci. Tento edukační standard má pomoci zjednodušit a ucelit edukaci pacientů v praxi.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the education of patient with lactose intolerance. The aims of bachelor thesis were to determine the degree of awareness of patients with lactose intolerance about their disease. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is focused on the anatomy and physiology of the gastrointestinal tract, the patophysiology of disease, the clinical signs, diagnostics and treatment of lactose intolerance. The most important part is focused on nutritional support from a nursing perspective, especially on the dietary recommendations for patients. The last part contains terminology in nursing education. The empirical part is focused on the education of patients. There are set up three aims with research assumptions. Educational standard for nurses was created based on the survey, which revealed a lack of awareness among patients about lactose intolerance. This educational standard should help simplify and summarize education of patients in practice.
