Motivation and classification of names of city transport stops Most and Litvínov

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá povahou názvů zastávek MHD měst Mostu a Litvínova z hlediska jejich motivace, funkce a etymologie. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části byla vymezena terminologie onomastiky. V analytické části je úvodní kapitola věnována historii města Mostu pro objasnění původu názvů zastávek. Dále bylo z materiálu Jízdního řádu MHD Dopravního podniku měst Mostu a Litvínova vyexcerpováno celkem 136 názvů zastávek, které byly podrobeny klasifikaci a analýze. Názvy zastávek byly zařazeny podle počtu složek do tří skupin a dále tříděny do skupin podle jejich motivantů. Souhrnná část se zabývá zvláštnostmi názvů zastávek z hlediska grafického zobrazení a dynamiky názvů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis analyses the nature of the bus stop names of cities Most and Litvínov on the basis of their motivation, function and etymology. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part defines the terminology of onomastics. The first chapter of the analytic part discusses the history of Most in order to clarify the origins of the names. The next step is the excerption of 136 bus stop names from Jízdní řád provided by the Dopravní podnik měst Mostu a Litvínova that are further categorized and analysed. The names are categorized on the basis of the number of components into three groups and then organized in accordance with their motivators. The summarising part focuses on the peculiarities of the stop names according to their graphical view and dynamics.
