Changes in the Drug Price Policy - maximal prices problematic and its impact on the key interest groups

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá cenovou politikou léčiv, problematikou maximálních cen a jejími dopady na postavení zájmových skupin. Práce je rozdělena do třech kapitol. V první části jsou vymezeni jednotliví hráči farmaceutického trhu, je vysvětlen postup uvedení léčivého přípravku na trh a způsoby regulace léčiv. Druhá část je věnována způsobu stanovení maximální ceny léčivých přípravků dle legislativy platné do konce roku 2007 a dle legislativy platné od 1. 1. 2008. Je zde provedeno srovnání obou metodik. Ve třetí části jsou na základě spotřeb léčivých přípravků analyzovány možné důsledky změny metodiky pro výrobce léčiv, pacienty a zdravotní pojišťovny.

Abstract:

The thesis concerns with drug policy, maximal price setting and their impact on key interest groups. The work is divided into three chapters. Players of pharmaceutical market are defined in the first part; there is an explanation of the process of product launch and the way of regulation of drugs. The second part is focused on the way of setting the maximal price of drugs according to the legislation valid till the end of 2007 and according to the legislation valid since 1.1.2008. There is a comparison of both methods. The possible subsequences in changes of maximal pricing of drugs and their impacts on producers of drugs, patients and Health Insurance Companies are analyzed in the third part.
