V mé práci se nejprve zabývám stručnou historií jazzové hudby v Plzni do roku 1970. V této kapitole se také věnuji orchestrům, které zde působily. V další kapitole nastiňuji historii jazzu v Plzni po roce 1970 až do současnosti. Tentokrát popisuji kapely, které spadají do tohoto období. Následující kapitola obsahuje osobnosti jazzu v Plzni. The first topic of my thesis is a brief description of jazz music in Pilsen untill 1970. In this chapter i also mention the orchestras that were funcioning in this location. In the next chapter I outline the history of jazz in Pilsen after the year 1970 up until now. In this case I describe the bands that were functioning at that time.
