Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této práce je odpovědět na výzkumnou otázku: „Jak vnímají ženy ve vedoucích pozicích překážky, se kterými se potýkají během svých kariér a jaké jsou možnosti je překonat?“ Vedlejší cíl je pak identifikovat, jak ženy vnímají efektivní vedení. Abychom lépe pochopili efektivitu žen na vůdčích pozicích zkoumá tato kvalitativní studie názory těchto žen na způsoby efektivního vedení. Teoretická část této práce se soustředí na problematiku nedostatečného zastoupení žen ve vůdčích pozicích a historický vývoj různých stylů vedení. Metodologická část práce se pak věnuje metodice kvalitativního výzkumu. Příběhy žen v této práci byly odvozeny z devíti polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s ženami ve vůdčích pozicích. V rozhovorech byly pro získání osobních výpovědí užívány otevřené otázky. Vjemy těchto žen byly analyzovány v souladu s existující literaturou v oblasti ženského vedení.

Abstract:

The main purpose of this work is to answer the main research question: “What are the perceptions of female leaders of the obstacles they face in their careers and what are the ways to overcome them?” The secondary purpose is to identify the perception of women about effective leadership. To better understand the effectiveness of female leaders, this qualitative research study explores the perception of female leaders about effective ways of leading. The theoretical part of this work is focused on the issue of the underrepresentation of women in leadership positions and historical development of the different styles of leading. The methodological part of the research is dedicated to a qualitative research method. The stories of these women were derived by conducting nine semi-structured interviews with women who are in positions of leadership. The interviews used open-ended questions to elicit personal responses from the interviewees. The perceptions of these women are analysed in accordance with the existing literature in the area of female leadership.
