Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with life and work of two of Scandinavian literary giants, Knut Hamsun and Pär Lagerkvist, during the World War II. This thesis analyzes the reasons why the Norwegian writer Hamsun adhered to the Nazi Germany and why the Swedish author Lagerkvist was so militantly humanistic.
