The Role and Importance of Professional Associations for the Development of the Hotel Industry and Gastronomy

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá úlohou a významem profesních sdružení pro rozvoj oboru hotelnictví a gastronomie, mírou jejich vlivu na kvalitu, organizaci a počet subjektů ve zmiňovaných oborech. Nabízí pohled na organizaci cestovního ruchu v České republice v návaznosti na zapojení profesních sdružení do řízení tohoto odvětví. Popisuje úlohu nejvýznamnějšího profesního sdružení v oboru hotelnictví a gastronomie v České republice. Na základě výsledků analýzy struktury členské základny nabízí jednu z možných odpovědí na otázku významu tohoto profesního sdružení, s ohledem na poměr členů k celkovému počtu subjektů podnikajících v oborech hotelnictví a gastronomie.

Abstract:

The focus of this dissertation is the role and the importance of professional associations for the development of the hotel and gastronomy industry, their influence on quality, organization and the number of entities in the respective fields. It offers an insight into the organization of the travel industry in the Czech Republic as a follow-up to the involvement of professional associations in management of the industry. It describes the role of the most important association in the hotel and gastronomy industry in the Czech Republic. Based on the results of the member structure analysis, it offers one of the possible answers to the question of the importance of this association, with respect to the ratio of its members to the total number of subjects doing business in the hotel and gastronomy fields.
