This thesis deals with the origins, history and current situation of Lusatian Serbs in the area of present-day Germany and their coexistence with the German population as in the past and nowadays. The aim of this work is approaching of the Sorbians issue which is based on history and compare it with today´s situation after 1989. Die Abschlussarbeit befasst sich mit der Herkunft, mit der Geschichte und mit der gegenwärtigen Situation der Lausitzer Sorben auf dem Gebiet des heutigen Deutschlands, und mit ihrem Zusammenleben mit der deutschen Bevölkerung sowohl in der Vergangenheit, als auch in der heutigen Zeit.
