Multiple criteria efficiency evaluation of electric plants using alternative energy sources

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce je vytvořit komplexní a uživatelsky přívětivou aplikaci, která by měla pomoci případnému zájemci o zřízení solární elektrárny na střeše rodinného domu v České republice se samostatně (tedy bez nutnosti konzultace s profesní firmou) rozhodnout, zda se mu ekonomicky vyplatí či nevyplatí si elektrárnu pořídit a pokud ano, jaká elektrárna z těch modelovaných variant, které si může finančně a kapacitně dovolit, nejvíce odpovídá jeho preferencím. Výnos investice lze totiž zhodnotit více způsoby a pro každého člověka tato kritéria budou mít různý stupeň důležitosti. S tímto problémem se lze vypořádat pomocí metod vícekriteriálního rozhodování, které agregují hodnoty různých kritérií, zohledňují preference jedince a umožňují vybrat variantu nejvhodnější pro konkrétní případ. V práci byla využita metoda váženého součtu pro agregaci preferencí uživatele a řada metod pro vytvoření aplikace a následnou analýzu. Pro výpočet optimálního rozvržení panelů na střeše uživatele se použila diskrétní úloha, pro výpočet dostupných variant potom simulace (simulace výroby a spotřeby elektřiny, užívání baterie atd.). Dílčím cílem práce je modelování závislosti chování analyzovaných kritérií na jednotlivých zkoumaných faktorech. Pro splnění dílčího cíle byla využita regresní analýza pro získání informací o vlivu jednotlivých faktorů na chování analyzovaných kritérií. Dále byla vypočtena úloha dobývání znalostí z databází pomocí programu Lisp-Miner pro získání možných zajímavých zjištění. Tyto analýzy byly prováděny na datech získaných ze simulačního experimentu s programem.

Abstract:

The main goal of the thesis is to create a complex and user friendly application which should help a person interested in purchasing a solar plant for the roof of their family house in the Czech republic to decide on their own (which means with no need to contact a professional company) whether a purchase of the solar plant is economically advantageous or not. In case it is advantageous, the application will show which plant of the modelled ones (out of those that the user can afford financially and with their roof capacity) is the best solution according to user’s preferences. It is possible to evaluate the return of investment using many indicators which would have different importance for everybody. Multicriteria decision making methods can help to deal with this problem as they aggregate values of different criteria, take in account the user’s preferences and make it possible to choose the best possible variant. Weighted sum approach was used to aggregate user’s preferences, but also other methods in order to create the application and making its analysis. For optimal panels placement on the roof, a discrete modelling method was used, for calculation of obtainable variants a simulation was used (simulation of electricity production and consumption, battery usage etc.). The supporting goal of the thesis is creation of models which describe dependency of criteria analyzed on individual considered factors. For fulfillment of supporting goal regression analysis was used in order to gain information about how the factors involved influence behavior of criteria analyzed. Then a data mining task was calculated using Lisp-Miner software in order to obtain possible interesting hypotheses. The analyses mentioned were performed on data obtained from a simulation experiment with the application.
