The Influence of chronic diseases on the education of children at Primary schools in Brno

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem, jaký vliv má dlouhodobá nemoc na žáka po dobu jeho/její školní docházky. Nemoc je zatěžující pro každého člověka bez ohledu na věk. Způsobuje obtíže jak z hlediska narušení fyzického zdraví a s tím spojených omezení, v horším případě s bolestí. Vlivem toho se narušená integrita zdraví zrcadlí i v oblasti psychiky. Neméně se nemoc podílí na určité změně identity člověka. Teoretická část práce se skládá ze 3 kapitol. První kapitola vychází z popisu onemocnění vybraných na základě prevalence konkrétních dlouhodobých nemocí objevujících se v dnešní době u dětí školou povinných. 2 následující kapitoly se zabývají oblastmi jako je vzdělávání, s tím spojenou legislativou a také tématem rodiny a osobnosti dítěte s onemocněním. Ve výzkumné části diplomové práce zjišťuji názory a zkušenosti učitelů základních škol v městě Brně. Analýza získaných dat přináší výsledky o nejčastějších typech onemocnění žáků, s kterými se učitelé setkávají, a dále přináší porovnání v rozdílu v množství dívek a chlapců s chronickým onemocněním. V závěru práce je uvedeno, jestli se předpoklady, které byly stanoveny, potvrdily či vyvrátily na základě výsledků plynoucích z výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The Diploma thesis is concerned with the influence of chronic diseases on the school attendance of pupils. The diseases bother people of any age. Actually it causes difficulties in the area of physical health. Moreover, the disease can be painful. As a result of it the bad health mirrors in the area of the psyche. What is also an important aspect is that the identity of the person can be consequently changed. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter describes the diseases that are common for the pupils attending the primary school. The following two chapters deal with the education, legislation, attitudes of families to upbringing and the personality of a child patient. The research chapter reveals the opinions and experience of teachers at Primary schools in Brno. The analysis of results in research provides the information about the most common types of pupils’ diseases that the teachers encounter. The investigation shows the comparison of the difference in the number of girls and boys with chronic disease. The conclusions reveal the information about the verification or falsification of assumptions stated within the Diploma thesis.
