Signalling factors determining cell fate decisions in the oral cavity during early embryogenesis

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci bylo hlavním úkolem sumarizovat dosavadní znalosti o signálních molekulách, které regulují osud buněk v ústní dutině během rané embryogeneze. Mezi zkoumané struktury patřily především dentální a vestibulární lišta. Zaměřila jsem se také na téma vzniku vývojových vad v ústní dutině a vývoj zubních a jedových žláz u plazů, které se od těchto struktur odvozují. Výsledkem bakalářské práce je potvrzení komplexního vztahu, ať už evolučního nebo ontogenetického, mezi vestibulární lištou, vznikem cyst či odontomů a vývojem zubních žláz u plazů.

Abstract:

The main aim of this thesis was to sumarize recent knowledge about signal molecules regulating the fate of cells in the oral cavity during early embryogenesis. The main intention was paid to the dental and vestibular lamina. Moreover, I have focused on the origin of developmental defects in the oral cavity and development of dental and venom glands in reptiles, which are corresponding to these structures. The outcome of this thesis is the confirmation of a komplex evolutionary and ontogenetic relationship between vestibular lamina, origin of cysts or odontomas and dentary gland development in reptiles.
