Pain monitoring among the senior clients in institutional settings

Abstract:

Tato závěrečná práce se věnuje tématu sledování bolesti u seniorů. Porovnává hodnocení a monitorace bolesti na interních odděleních v České republice (Masarykova nemocnice, Ústí nad Labem) a v Rusku (Medical Center ?-?, Severouralsk). Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě části teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se skládá z několika dílů. První díl se zabývá problematikou stáří a změnami ve stáři. Následující díly jsou zaměřené na definice, klasifikace, terapie bolesti a metody sledovaní a hodnocení bolesti. Cílem praktické části je zjistit základní informace o zvyklostech a metodách ošetřujícího personálu v oblasti hodnocení a sledovaní bolesti u seniorů a dále porovnání způsobů hodnocení a monitorace bolesti v České republice a Rusku. Data jsou získána pomocí anonymního dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

This final work focuses on the topic of pain monitoring in the elderly. We compare pain assessment methods and pain monitoring at medical facilities in the Czech Republic (Masaryk Hospital, Ústí nad Labem) and in Russia (Medical Center ?-?, Severouralsk). The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part consists of several chapters. The first chapter deals with issues of old age and changes related to old age. The following chapters focus on definitions, classification, pain therapy, and methods of monitoring and assessing pain. The goal of the practical part is to find basic information about the practices and methods of the care staff in the field of pain assessment and monitoring in seniors and to compare the methods of pain assessment and monitoring in the Czech Republic and Russia. The data is obtained through an anonymous survey.
