Construction of a psychodiagnostic method measuring coping strategies in adolescence

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této práce je konstrukce a otestování nové psychodiagnostické metody Copingové strategie v adolescenci (CSA). Mezi související dílčí cíle patří překlad dvou zahraničních metod Stress Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents zkr. SSKJ 3-8 R (Eschenbeck et al., 2018) a Coping Orientation for Problem experiences Inventory zkr. A-COPE (Patterson & McCubbin, 1987). Výzkumný soubor je tvořen 256 respondenty ve věku 15-19 let. Tento výzkumný soubor je tvořen 131 chlapci, 121 dívkami a 4 respondenty, kteří neuvedli ani jednu z nabízených variant pohlaví. Tito respondenti se účastnili výzkumné studie prostřednictvím testové baterie tužka-papír. Mezi hlavní výsledky této práce patří redukce původní verze CSA, která obsahovala 101 položek a 14 faktorů, na redukovanou verzi, která nyní obsahuje 55 položek a 7 faktorů. Faktory redukované verze CSA jsou korelovány s jednotlivými faktory přeložených metod A-COPE a SSKJ 3-8. V této korelaci je identifikován na hladině alfa 0,01 statisticky významný vztah.

Abstract:

The main aim of this thesis is to construct and test a new psychodiagnostic method Coping Strategies in Adolescence (CSA). The related secondary aims include the translation of two foreign methods, the Stress Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents, abbreviated as the Stress Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents. SSKJ 3-8 R (Eschenbeck et al., 2018) and the Coping Orientation for Problem Experiences Inventory abbreviated. A-COPE (Patterson & McCubbin, 1987). The research sample consists of 256 respondents aged 15-19 years. This research population consists of 131 boys, 121 girls and 4 respondents who did not indicate any of the gender options offered. These respondents participated in the research study through a pencil-paper test battery. The main results of this work include the reduction of the original version of the CSA, which contained 101 items and 14 factors, to a reduced version that now contains 55 items and 7 factors. The factors of the reduced version of the CSA are correlated with the individual factors of the translated A-COPE and SSKJ 3-8. A statistically significant relationship is identified at the alpha level of 0.01 in this correlation.
