Tolerance towards Illegal Migration

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá evropským fenoménem současnosti, a to migrací. V teoretické části práce jsou osvětleny základní pojmy, důvody a příčiny migrace, jsou zde nastíněna práva uprchlíků. Dále objasňuje postup policie při odhalování nelegálních mi-grantů na území České republiky. V praktické části se pak práce zabývá vztahy mezi uprchlíky a policisty cizinecké policie, tedy osobami, se kterými jsou uprchlíci na území České republiky konfrontováni vůbec poprvé. Byl vytvořen dotazník, na který policisté cizinecké policie, napříč Českou republikou a bez ohledu na vzdělání, odpovídali. Cílem výzkumu je snaha o poznání, zda každodenní práce s uprchlíky dělá člověka méně tole-rantním či naopak. Praktické využití se nabízí zejména v otázce přetěžování policistů v souvislosti s výkonem služby.

Abstract:

This bachelor of Arts thesis deals with the phenomenon which is one of the most contro-versial, these days, namley migration. In the theoretical part of this thesis we are clarifying the basic assumptions, reasons, and causes of migration. Also the rights of refugees are outlined and discussed. It is intended, also to clarify, the Police's process's in place for detecting illegal migrants in the Czech Republic territory. The relationship between the refugees and policemen are dealt with in the practical part of this thesis. Policemen are the very first people which refugees meet when they cross the Czech Republic's border. A questionnaire was constructed and the Police Department responsible for Immigration's members across the Czech Republic, regardless of education, answered all its questions. The goal of this research is the analyse whether contact in a Policeman's everyday's work with refugees makes a man less tolerant or vice versa. The practical application offers help in providing solutions, if policemen are overloaded, in relation to the carrying out of their duties.
