Analysis of the parameters which influence diffusion processes in the course of homogeneous annealing of aluminium alloys doped with copper and zinc.

Abstract:

Disertační práce se zabývá výzkumem krystalové nehomogenity a sledováním vlivů různých parametrů ovlivňujících procesy u homogenizačního žíhání hliníkových slitin typu AlCu4MgMn a AlZn5,5MgCu. V této práci je sledován vznik chemické nehomogenity (krystalové segregace) v rámci dendritických buněk, její potlačení homogenizačním žíháním a optimalizace tohoto tepelného procesu. K výzkumu jsou záměrně zvoleny slitiny s vyšším obsahem legujících prvků, u kterých je krystalová segregace výraznější a významně tak ovlivňuje jejich fyzikální, chemické a mechanické vlastnosti. V disertační práci je výzkum zaměřen na vznik a rozsah krystalové segregace a její odstranění homogenizačním žíháním, při kterém je sledován vliv jednotlivých faktorů ovlivňujících tento difuzní proces. Mezi tyto faktory patří teplota homogenizačního žíhání, délka výdrže na teplotě a velikost difuzních drah. Délka difuzních drah přímo souvisí s velikostí dendritických buněk, které jsou závisle na zvolené slévárenské formě k odlévání. Disertační práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí, a to rešeršní a experimentální. Obě tyto částí se charakteristicky podílejí na výzkumu vzniku krystalové segregace a homogenizačního žíhání zvolených hliníkových slitin, které krystalovou segregaci potlačují nebo zcela odstraňují.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the research into crystal inhomogeneity and influence monitoring of parameters which effect the processes of homogenizing annealing of AlCu4MgMn and AlZn5,5MgCu aluminium alloys. The research describes the process of chemical inhomogeneity (crystal segregation) formation within dendrite cells, their suppression by homogenizing annealing and optimization of this thermal process. The alloys having higher contain of alloyed elements with more expressive crystal segregation which influences their physical, chemical and mechanical properties to higher degree have been chosen on the purpose of the research. The thesis is focused on crystal segregation formation and expansion and on its suppression by the means of homogenizing annealing; the influence of separate factors effecting diffusion process has been monitored during homogenizing annealing. Among the factors there is the temperature of homogenizing annealing, the duration of heat resistance and the size of diffusion paths. The length of diffusion paths is directly related to the size of dendrite cells, which depend on the selected moulds. The thesis is divided into two main parts: theoretical and experimental. These two parts shares two focuses - crystal segregation formation and homogenizing annealing of selected aluminium alloys, which suppresses crystal segregation or even eliminates it completely.
