Statistic processing of the measuring S-parameters

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá vytvořením Matlab aplikace pro zobrazení, vyhodnocení a statistické zpracování naměřených S-parametrů. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V první kapitole je čtenář seznámen s problematikou koaxiálních kabelů a S-parametrů. Tato kapitola klade důraz na problematiku statistického zpracování naměřených S-parametrů. Zabývá se metodami, které lze využít k získání obálky změřených signálů. Dále jsou popsány statistické metody, které byly použity v praktické části této práce. Druhá kapitola se zabývá implementací aplikace v programovacím jazyce Matlab. Konkrétně ve vývojovém prostředí App Designer, které bylo použito k vytvoření grafického uživatelského rozhraní (GUI). Zde jsou popsány vývojové nástroje, které byly využity k analýze a výkonnostnímu ladění kódu. Poslední část kapitoly představuje způsob, kterým byla aplikace koncipována pro snadnější orientaci při budoucím rozšiřování aplikace. Ve třetí kapitole je popsán průběh z testování aplikace na vybraných sadách semirigid kabelů. K testování aplikace byl využit V-model. Uváděny jsou výsledky testování funkcionality vytvořené aplikace. Poslední, čtvrtá kapitola představuje ukázku vyhodnocení změřených S-parametrů pomocí vytvořené aplikace, a to na zvolených sadách semirigid kabelů. Kapitola nejprve ukazuje celý průběh vyhodnocení změřených S-parametrů a je zakončena vyhodnocením změn statistických ukazatelů v závislosti na zavedení změny do výrobního procesu semirigid kabelů.

Abstract:

The presented thesis focuses on the development of a Matlab application designed for the visualization, evaluation, and statistical processing of measured S-parameters. The work is structured into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the reader to the fundamentals of coaxial cables and S-parameters, with a particular emphasis on the statistical processing of measured S-parameters. It discusses methods for obtaining the envelope of measured signals and outlines the statistical techniques employed in the practical section of this thesis. The second chapter focuses on implementing the application in the Matlab programming language, specifically using the App Designer development environment, which was used to create the graphical user interface (GUI). This section describes the development tools used for code analysis and performance tuning. The last part of the chapter presents the approach taken to design the application for easier orientation during the future expansion of the application. The third chapter describes the application testing process on selected sets of semirigid cables. The V model was used for testing the application. The results of the functionality testing of the created application are presented. The final, fourth chapter presents an example of evaluating measured S-parameters using the created application on selected sets of semirigid cables. The chapter first shows the entire process of evaluating the measured S parameters and concludes with the evaluation of changes in statistical indicators depending on the introduction of changes into the production process of semirigid cables.
