Literary Production of Pavel Mervart Publishing House

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je přinést ucelený přehled literární produkce nakladatelství Pavel Mervart v kontextu české literární kultury. Práce se zaměřuje na ediční řady nakladatelství a jeho autory. V práci je nastíněn vývoj nakladatelství a stručné shrnutí vývoje českého knižního trhu v posledních letech. Práce informuje nejen o literární produkci nakladatelství, a to jak próze, tak poezii, ale také o postavení tohoto nakladatelství na českém knižním trhu. Součástí práce jsou i definice pojmů jako je literární kultura, nakladatelství či kniha.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the whole of literary production of Pavel Mervart Publishing House in the context of the Czech literary culture. It deals with editions and authors of the publishing house. This thesis includes the development of Pavel Mervart publishing house. There is a brief summary of the development of the Czech book market in recent years. This thesis gives information not only about the literary production of this publishing house, both prose and poetry, but also about the position of this publisher at the Czech book market. Parts of this thesis cover explanations of some important terms such as literary culture, publishing house or book.
