Cílem této práce je popsat jaké typy dohod mezi soutěžiteli jsou považovány podle českého a evropského práva za kartely a ukázat jejich nepříznivý dopad na národní a evropskou ekonomiku. Stěžejní část práce je zaměřena na postup soutěžního orgánu při odhalování kartelů, a to nejprve v obecné rovině a následně na konkrétním případu kartelu z aktuální rozhodovací praxe. The aim of this thesis is to describe which types of cooperation among competitors are considered to be cartels under the Czech and European law and to show the negative impact of cartels on national and European economy.
