Cílem předkládané magisterské práce je nalézt příklady nových metafor ve vybraných ekonomických časopisech The Economist a Forbes/Forbes India. Výchozí inspirací pro tuto analýzu je kognitivní lingvistická teorie. Metodologie výzkumu vychází z knihy Metafory, kterými žijeme autorů George Lakoffa a Marka Johnsona, vydané v roce 1980. Abstract:
The aim of this master thesis is to find instances of novel metaphor in the selected texts taken from the magazines The Economist and Forbes/Forbes India. A cognitive linguistics’ perspective was used for this purpose. The methodology of the thesis was based not only on George Lakoff and Mark Johnson’s seminal publication Metaphors We Live By (1980), but articles of a more recent date were also consulted …more
