Patients' satisfaction after implantation of a pacemaker

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na kvalitu života s kardiostimulátorem, na pocity lidí po implantaci, na informovanost o finanční hodnotě kardiostimulátoru. Teoretická část se zabývá anatomií srdce, poruchami srdečního rytmu, indikací k implantaci kardiostimulátoru, samotným kardiostimulátorem a kvalitou života. Empirická část je zaměřena na průzkum a analýzu dat z dotazníkového šetření. Předmětem analýzy byly dotazníky vyplněné 99 pacienty po implantaci trvalého kardiostimulátoru. Oslovení respondenti byli z velké části spokojeni, implantace kardiostimulátoru zcela jednoznačně vedla ke zlepšení kvality jejich života.

Abstract:

This Bachelor’s thesis is focused on the quality of life with a pacemaker, on how patients feel after the implantation, on their awareness of the financial value of the pacemaker. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy of the heart, heart rhythm disorders, indication for pacemaker implantation, the pacemaker itself and the quality of life. The empirical part of this thesis deals with a research and a survey data analysis. The subject of this analysis were questionnaires filled in by 99 patients with implanted permanent pacemaker. Most of the respondents were satisfied, the implantation of a pacemaker clearly improved the quality of their life.
