David Hume in Contemporary Philosophy
Abstract:
Diplomová práce je zaměřena na Humovu teorii mysli. Jejím cílem je objasnit, proč je Humova filosofie dodnes přitažlivá a aktuální. Humův koncept odpovídá dnešnímu naturalistickému pojetí mysli. Tato práce mapuje, v čem jsou Humovy myšlenky nadčasové a odpovídá na otázku, zda můžeme vysledovat souvislost mezi nimi a současnou kognitivní vědou.Abstract:
Diploma thesis is focused on Hume´s theory of mind. Its goal is to clarify, why is Hume ´s philosophy so attractive and current till now. Hume´s concept meets the requirements of today´s naturalistic interpretation of mind. The thesis surveys, why are Hume´s thoughts timeless and answers the question if we can trace a connection between these thoughts and current cognitive science.
