Suicides from the perspective of a police investigation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje sebevraždám jako závažnému problému a fenoménu dnešní doby. Práce se zaměřuje na popis sebevražedného chování, ale zejména na vyšetřování sebevražd policejním orgánem. V první polovině teoretické části je vymezen pojem sebevražda a jsou zde popsány rizikové faktory, druhy a způsoby spáchání sebevraždy. Určitá část je také věnována dopisům na rozloučenou. V druhé polovině teoretické části je zpracován pohled policejního orgánu na vybrané druhy sebevražd, jejich postup při vyšetřování suicidií, způsob ohledání místa činu a provedení pitvy. Empirická část práce se zaměřuje na práci vyšetřovatelů v praxi a motivy sebevražd. Hlavní výzkumnou metodou této práce je kazuistika.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on suicide as a serious problem and phenomenon of our time. The thesis focuses on the description of suicidal behavior, but especially on the investigation of suicides by the police. In the first half of the theoretical part, the concept of suicide is defined and the risk factors, types and ways of committing suicide are described. A certain part is also devoted to suicide notes. In the second half of the theoretical part, the view of the police authorities on selected types of suicides, their procedure for investigating suicides, the method of examining the crime scene and conducting an autopsy is elaborated. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the work of investigators in practice and the motives of suicides. The main research method of this thesis is case study.
