The diploma thesis will focus on digitization of cultural heritage as a current issue of cultural policy in Czech Republic, and comparisons are drawn with related developments in Germany. Through an analysis of the strategic plans of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and individual projects it charts how digitization works, what are its benefits and also deficiencies.
