A French Client in a Czech Restaurant

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis, named ?French Client in a Czech Restaurant?, deals with the topic of restaurant. The first part presents some of the most visited restaurants in the Czech Republic. Moreover, it explains the differences between a Czech and a French restaurant concerning the menu, choice of a table, service or gratuity in a French restaurant. It also mentions the Czech cuisine and its gastronomic specialities. The second part presents a survey on the image of the Czech restaurant. A questionnaire is used for collecting the information. This questionnaire was destined for the French who have already visited a Czech restaurant and for the Czechs as well to compare their answers. Finally, it analyses the results of this survey. The third part presents a French-Czech glossary of the terms related to this topic. The aim of this thesis is to explain the differences between a Czech and a French restaurant to the French tourists who want to visit the Czech Republic.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce, nazvaná ?Francouzský klient v české restauraci?, je zaměřena na restauratérství. V první části představujeme některá nejnavštěvovanější restaurační místa v České republice. Dále vysvětlujeme rozdíly mezi francouzskou a českou restaurací, týkající se menu, výběru stolu, způsobu obsluhy nebo spropitného. Také zmiňujeme českou kuchyni a její gastronomické speciality. V druhé, praktické části práce, představujeme výzkum, který byl realizován na téma obrazu českého restauratérství. Pro získání informací jsme zvolili dotazníkovou metodu. Dotazník byl určen Francouzům, kteří již navštívili českou restauraci, a Čechům, abychom porovnali jejich odpovědi. Na konci analyzujeme výsledky této ankety. Třetí část přináší francouzsko-český glosář zahrnující termíny spadající do této oblasti. Cílem této bakalářské práce je vysvětlit francouzským turistům, kteří chtějí navštívit Českou republiku, jaký je rozdíl mezi českou a francouzskou restaurací.
