Professional self-concept of teacher in the life story

Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá formováním a proměnami profesního sebepojetí učitele. Využitím metody kvalitativního výzkumu založeném na polostrukturovaném rozhovoru s prvkem vyprávění učitelova profesního příběhu práce identifikuje možnosti vývoje profesního sebepojetí a také vlivy způsobujících změny v sebepojetí učitele . V práci je popsána typologie cest formování sebepojetí učitelů a typologie identitních figur profesního sebepojetí učitele, které jsou výsledkem výše zmíněných cest.

Abstract:

This master's thesis deals with the formation and transformations of a teacher's professional self-concept. By utilizing a qualitative research method based on semi-structured interviews with a narrative element of the teacher's professional story, the thesis identifies potential developments in the professional self-concept and also examines influences causing changes in the teacher's self-concept. The thesis describes a typology of paths in the formation of teachers' self-concept and a typology of identity figures within the professional self-concept of a teacher, which are the outcomes of the aforementioned paths.
