Possibilities of franchising in the area of Dark Tourism

Abstract:

PISKUROVA, Zuzana. Possibilities of franchising in the area of Dark Tourism [Master’s Dissertation] Institute of Hospitality Management. Prague: 2021. 73 pages. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of franchising possibilities in the area of Dark Tourism. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out whether there are franchises in the Czech Republic in the field of Dark Tourism and to make their comparison and possibly to consider the possibilities of creating a franchising concept. To achieve the aim of the diploma thesis, research questions and hypotheses were set. The diploma thesis is divided into three parts: the theoretical, analytical and sugestion part. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes franchising and its legal regulation, I paid my attention to the introduction of the Czech Franchising Association, the Slovak franchising association and the code of ethics of franchising. I tried to describe the advantages and disadvantages that the franchising business brings to the franchisor and the franchisor. A certain part of the theoretical part of my diploma thesis is devoted to the characteristics, classification and, last but not least, the history of Dark Tourism.In the analytical part, I explore and describe the destinations of Dark Tourism in the Czech Republic and abroad. A very important part of the analytical part of the diploma thesis is the comparison of companies in the field of Dark Tourism. The sugestion part of the thesis presents a specific proposal for a franchising concept in the field of Dark Tourism.

PISKUROVÁ, Zuzana. Možnosti franchisingu v oblasti Dark Turizmu [Diplomová práca] Vysoká škola hotelová. Praha: 2021. 73 strán. Diplomová práca sa zaoberá analýzou možností franchisingu v oblasti Dark Turizmu. Cieľom diplomovej práce je zistiť či v Českej republike existujú franšízy v oblasti Dark Turizmu, urobiť ich komparáciu a prípadne posúdiť možnosti vytvorenia franchisingového konceptu. Na dosiahnutie cieľa diplomovej práce boli stanovené výskumné otázky a hypotézy. Práca je rozdelená do troch častí a to na časť teoretickú, analytickú a návrhovú. V teoretickej časti práce je charakterizovaný franchising a jeho právna úprava, taktiež som svoju pozornosť venovala predstaveniu českej asociácie franchisingu, slovenskej franchisingovej asiciácie a etickému kódexu franchisingu. Usilovala som sa popísať výhody a nevýhody, ktoré franchisingové podnikanie prináša pre franchisanta a franchisora. Istá časť teoretickej časti mojej diplomovej práce je venovaná charakteristike, členeniu a v neposlednom rade aj histórii Dark Turizmu. V analytickej časti sa venujem skúmaniu a opisu destinácii Dark Turizmu v Českej republike a aj v zahraničí. Veľmi dôležitou súčasťou analytickej časti diplomovej práce je komparácia podnikov v oblasti Dark turizmu. V návrhovej časti práce je predstavený konkrétny návrh franchisingového konceptu v oblasti Dark Turizmu.
